In loving memory of Thomas Miranda, born November 9, 1937 to Milton and Edith Miranda at 626 Siebert Street, Columbus, Ohio. Tom was taken home to be with the Lord Jesus on November 23, 2024.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother John, sisters Evelyn Roberts and Wilma Jean Cannon.
Tom is survived by his wife Betty whom he shared 68 years of marriage, son Tom Jr and wife Sandy, daughters Peggy M. Swearingen and husband Jeffrey as well as Penny L. Timberlake and husband Robert. Five grand children includes Jeremy, Jennifer and Joshua Miranda, Michael and Matthew Swearingen, as well as four great grand children.
Tom was a loving husband, excellent father and very special grandfather.
Tom loved the Lord and served in many roles at First Christian Church in Leesburg, Florida. Tom was known in his Bible Study classes to always close his lessons stating—
“It’s in the Book!”
A retired associate telecommunication engineer, Tom loved fishing and especially enjoyed cruising, where he and his wife Betty sailed on over 30 cruise voyages to the Caribbean, Alaska and many other exotic destinations.
Tom Miranda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
