A deputy responded to a physical altercation at an undisclosed Minneola address around 11:13 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival, the deputy met with the male victim. He stated that while sitting on the tailgate of his truck parked in the public roadway, his wife, 37-year-old Amber Marie Holman, who he was currently separated from, approached him and demanded he leave, the report said.

Holman yelled obscenities and accusations at him before she “smacked” the Monster energy drink can out of his hand. She then grabbed the victim’s phone that he was holding and scratched his wrist, the report said.

The victim also advised that he filed for divorce and moved in with his mother. However, he still owned a residence at an undisclosed location, the report said.

The deputy next spoke with Holman who stated that when she woke up, went outside and saw the victim sitting on his truck in the roadway, she approached him to tell him to leave. At that point, he began to yell at her, but she did not touch him. She also stated she was with her daughter and her daughter’s friend, the report said.

Holman was subsequently arrested and charged with battery (domestic). She was transported to Lake County Jail where she was released on her own recognizance. She is responsible for appearing in court on Nov. 19.
