An officer responded to Susan Street Sports Complex, located at 1055-801 Susan Street, regarding a battery around 7:31 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, he met with the male victim and a witness.

The victim advised he was at his son’s football practice when he was contacted by 40-year-old Porisha Kenyatta Clark over the phone. They got into a verbal dispute over his unidentified girlfriend. He ignored Clark and hung up the phone call, the report said.

The victim was again contacted by Clark, and she demanded he bring his daughter back to her residence. He ultimately arrived at her residence with his daughter. He then got out of his vehicle and walked around the right rear passenger door to take his daughter out of the vehicle, the report said.

After getting his daughter, the right side of the victim’s face was struck by Clark. He did not know how he got struck but believed it was by a closed fist. He also gave Clark’s location and said she should still be there, the report said.

While speaking with the victim, the officer observed a slight bruising to the right side of his face near his cheekbone. His injuries corroborated his statements. The victim added the witness was inside the vehicle when he was struck, the report said.

The officer subsequently spoke with the witness who advised that he overheard the phone conversation between the victim and Clark. Later, he and the victim relocated to Clark’s residence. The witness waited inside the vehicle while the victim gave his daughter to Clark, the report said.

The witness saw the victim take his daughter out of the vehicle before Clark struck him on the right side of his face with a closed fist. She then took the daughter into the residence, the report said.

After speaking with the witness, officers went to the incident location to contact Clark. They met with her inside her residence where she was apprehended and escorted to a patrol vehicle. She refused to speak with the officers about what happened, the report said.

Clark was charged with simple battery (domestic) and transported to Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $3,500.
