Nadine R. Jackson, 96, of Mt. Dora, Florida, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on September 24, 2024.
Nadine was born in Blanche, Tennessee. She moved to Chicago, IL to become a TWA Stewardess where she met the love of her life, Robert W. “Bob” Jackson, her husband of 67 years. They settled in Naperville, IL raising their daughters, and eventually moved to Florida in 1984. Their life was filled with travel, golf (playing into her 90’s!) and lots of time spent with family and friends.
Survived by her husband Bob, daughters Mary Lynn Jackson of Schaumburg, IL and Jill J Sternard (Don) of Clarendon Hills, IL, 3 granddaughters Shelley Sternard of Chicago, IL, Sara Jo Poncer (Ben) of Arvada, CO, and Susie Mill (Shane) of Arlington, VA, brother Leo Rowell of Amarillo, TX and many nieces and nephews.
Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cleo Rowell, and 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
A service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., October 12, 2024 at First United Methodist Church, Mt Dora, FL.
Nadine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and cherished her, especially her beloved family.
