Claudette Marie Gurley, 60, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024. Born on November 24, 1963, in Rockledge, Florida, Claudette was a beautiful spirit in the lives of all who knew her.
Claudette worked for Lake County for nearly 30 years as financial coordinator, retiring in 2022. She enjoyed her work and the people she worked with.
Claudette is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Calvin and Josephine Marie (Vaden) Gurley, and her dear brother, Calvin “Rick” Gurley. She is survived by her cherished daughter, Carrie Kalachik (Vadim), her sister Carmen Carroll, her loving nephew Justin Edge (Cathy Miller) and niece Kelly David (Brian). Claudette was also a proud great-aunt, and her great-nieces and great-nephew held a special place in her heart.
A celebration of Claudette’s life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to come together in remembrance of her.
Claudette will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she shared and the memories she created.
