Roger Lewis 83 of Tavares, Florida, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at his home. He was born March 24, 1941, in Pana, IL, son of Dale and Virginia (Toothacher) Lewis.

He was a graduate of Pana High School and Sparks business school. He worked as a photo finisher, greenhouse builder, foreman at the Mallory factory, manager of a large hog farm before moving to Florida. Roger worked as a builder and building contractor until retirement. He was the go-to guy for friends, family and neighbors for repairs or problem solving.

He is survived by his wife Sharon (Peifer) Lewis, son Roger Lewis Jr. of Longwood, Florida and daughter Tonja (Dean) Vandenbergh of Pana,Ilinois. Grandchildren Roger Lewis III and Cristyn (TJ) Austin. Great grandchildren Trey and Rylee Lewis, Lexi, Rory, and Adri Austin and step great granddaughter Kayla Coady and step great great granddaughter Ally.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Virginia and his sister Betty Lewis and brother Steve Lewis.

Roger liked music, dancing and roller skating where he met his wife, Sharon. He liked to travel, ride motorcycles and especially play with his grandchildren.
