Robert Michael Schmidt, aka Rob was born in Aliquippa. PA on Feb 4, 1977. He lived in Center Township in Monaca, PA and graduated from Center High School in 1996. Sports he played were football and hockey. Rob moved to Florida about 25yrs ago for a fresh start. He worked for his late uncle Dwain until he decided to go work for TDW Inc. He was a field technician on oil and gas pipelines. He worked there for 20 years, traveled a lot, and made a few friends along the way.
Rob’s hobbies included: bicycling, riding his motorcycles, golfing on occasion with family, off roading, attending concerts, NFL football and watching Judge Milian. He loved watersports- riding jet skis and learning to wake board with his stepsons: Brett and Trey. Those were “his boys”.
Rob is survived by his loving wife Melissa Hyde, his stepsons Brett and Trey Coolbaugh, his parents Bob and Bonnie Schmidt of PA, sister Tommi Denea Aurin and nephew Skylar T. Miller of PA, bonus sister Leila Pinter and nephew Joey Clark of WI, cousin Morgan Haymond and many other loving family members. Preceding him in death were grandparents and great grandparents.
Rob closed his eyes for the final time and departed life on Earth as we know it on Sept 21st. Rob will be missed dearly, and a celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 5, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the North Lake Chapel Church of Christ at 36303 Emeralda Ave. Leesburg, FL. 34788.
