As fuel costs in Leesburg continue to fluctuate, Leesburg Electric will be increasing the Bulk Power Cost Adjustment by $0.01 per kWh effective Oct. 1. Â
In an effort to minimize the overall impact to monthly electric charges, the timing and implementation of the increase has been scheduled during the fall and winter months when energy consumption decreases.Â
With the increase, the total BPCA charge will be $0.02 per kWh which is historically typical for the utility. The BPCA will yield a cost of $127.97 for the first 1,000 kWh of consumption. Â
