Warren Thomas

Warren G. Thomas of Yalaha, Florida passed peacefully at his home on August 22, 2024.
He was born on August 8th, 1944, in Syracuse, New York and lived in Fulton, New York until 1989 when he and his family moved to Yalaha.

He was a United States Army veteran. He held various leadership positions in Cub Scout Pack 47 of Leesburg. He was the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 47 for 17 years. At Wood Badge, he received the highest level of leadership training and was on staff. He loved bowling and was in numerous leagues in both New York and Florida. He was an avid and gifted singer. He was a member of the chorale group The Kings Men and traveled throughout New York state performing at local churches, he loved fishing trips and traveling and people. But his love of his family was first and foremost. And always had a dog by his side.

He is survived by his wife Michele (Darling) and their children. Jim and his wife Kathleen of Solvay, New York, Candice of Cornelius, North Carolina, William of Yalaha, Gary and Alicia of Groveland and Adam and Amelia of Fruitland Park. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He will be buried at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. A memorial service will be announced.
