An author of several historical books will be presenting the History of the Southern Campaign later this month.

Stewart Dunaway will present the campaign at the Lake County Historical Society and Museum, located at 317 W. Main Street in Tavares, on Tuesday, July 23, starting at 5:30 p.m. Audiences will learn about the American Revolutionary campaign and how it affected America’s Independence.

This presentation comes as part of the Lake County Historical Museum’s efforts to preserve the history of Lake County. Its collection of artifacts includes items from all over Florida and other parts of the world to provide greater insight into the county’s story.
