Mitchell Vincent Rigdon Jr.

Mitchell Rigdon of Umatilla passed away on June 28th, 2024 in his home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne Rigdon, daughter Cathy Watson, and son in law William Ernest Hall.

He is survived by his 3 children, John Kenneth Rigdon (Laurie), Mitchell Vincent Rigdon III, and Judy Michele Cole (Todd) along with 14 grandchildren, and 42 great grandchildren. Mitchell was born on March 12th, 1934. He was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Umatilla and a lifelong resident of Umatilla. He spent 31 years in the military, 22 in the Army national guard and 9 years in the United States Air Force. Then proceeded to work for United Telephone Company. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening which he learned from his father. His greatest love however was his family whom he left the biggest imprint on along with friends. He will always be remembered as a loving, unforgettable, and truly remarkable man.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Umatilla, July 15th at 10:00 am for refreshments, followed services in the sanctuary and full military burial at Umatilla Annex Cemetery.
