A deputy observed a white 1999 Lincoln, later found to be occupied by 38-year-old Shana Lori Harbin, traveling south on South Fish Camp Road in Grand Island around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The driver came to the intersection with County Road 44 and rolled through a red light without coming to a complete stop.

Due to this, the deputy conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of County Road 44 and Chain O’ Lakes Road. While completing a written warning for the driver, a K-9 unit arrived on scene and commenced a free-air sniff of the vehicle. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle, and a search was subsequently conducted, the report said.

A deputy found a large Michael Kors purse on the passenger side where Harbin was sitting. She advised the purse was hers, and deputies located her Florida ID card in a matching wallet. While searching the purse, a plastic baggie was found in a zebra-print coin purse, the report said.

The baggie contained three rectangular pills, which the deputy knew to be Alprazolam based on training and experience. There was also a purple pill bearing “RD71” in the same plastic baggie. This was identified as 30mg of morphine sulfate, the report said.

In the same coin purse, the deputy located a cellophane wrapper which contained three white oval pills bearing “54 775.” These were identified as 2mg of Buprenorphine Hydrochloride. The suspected narcotics were collected to be sent to FDLE for further testing, the report said.

Harbin was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of morphine, Alprazolam and Buprenorphine Hydrochloride. In doing so, she also violated her probation for possession of methamphetamine. The New York native was transported to Lake County Jail with bond set at $7,500.
