Officers conducted a secure check of the condemned home at 1607 Center Street around 8 a.m. June 13, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The property was condemned by LPD Code Enforcement on June 10.

While checking the area, contact was made with 31-year-old Roy Eugene Wilson who was sleeping in the back of the property. The Communication Center advised that he was previously trespassed from the location on June 10, the report said.

The Ohio native was subsequently arrested on charge of trespass after warning. He was transported to Lake County Jail with bond set at $1,000.

Wilson has been arrested at least twice before, including in Dec. 2022 for stolen eggnog and in Aug. 2023 for trespassing in woods he had been warned away from.
