Harry Glynn Elliott, age 76, of Leesburg, Florida, died on April 15, 2024 as a result of a ruptured aneurysm. Born in Niagara-on-the-Lake on March 15, 1948 to Harry and Leila Elliott (both deceased), Glynn was raised in Niagara Falls, NY where he met his wife, Kathleen.
The couple moved often living in various locations in New York, Louisiana, Mississippi, Indiana, North Carolina, Alabama, Texas and Florida. Glynn was employed primarily in the steel industry, earned a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and worked as an Environmental and Hydraulic Engineer.
Glynn is survived by Kathy and their children, Brian Elliott (Nelly Elliott), and Stacia Kooney (Frederick Kooney), along with four beloved grandchildren, Meredith and Matthew Kooney and Devin and Ashley Elliott. He also leaves behind a sister, Carol Waters, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his sister, Sheila Ryczek.
Glynn may have worked as an engineer but to those who knew him, he was a storyteller, a trivia whiz and a master innovator. He was loved tremendously by his friends and family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be missed terribly.
Funeral services will be on May 6 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario with a visitation time from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
