The Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is extending its passport processing hours during Lake County Schools’ spring break on March 11-15.

The extended passport processing hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and are by appointment only at the North Lake Branch Office, located at 902 Avenida Central in The Villages, and the South Lake Branch Office, located at 290 Citrus Tower Blvd., Suite 116, in Clermont.

“This is a great opportunity for those unable to visit our office during our regular operating hours to apply for their passport,” said Gary Cooney, Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. “We’re hoping that by offering an additional 90 minutes daily throughout the week, customers will be able to get passports for themselves and their children.”

As a U.S. Department of State acceptance facility, the Lake County Clerk’s Office assists residents with reviewing and submitting U.S. passport applications sent to the DOS for processing.

To schedule an appointment, visit https://lakecoclerk.as.me/schedule.php. After booking an appointment, customers will receive an email confirmation with additional information and instructions on documentation to bring with them. Passport photos will also be available on-site for a small fee.
