August 1, 1943 – February 8, 2024

John E. (Jack) Glover Jr., 80, died on February 4th, 2024 at his home in Yalaha, Florida. He battled various medical issues, but showed his courage of facing his life challenges with a smile. He had a very kind-hearted way to let you know how much he loved you and how special you were to him.

Jack met the love of his life, LaDonna (Coggins) Glover, at Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Florida. They married after he graduated from the University of Tampa and spent 57 beautiful years together. Jack was employed in the transportation industry. Most of his professional career was with Lester Coggins Trucking located in Fort Myers, Florida, Streetsboro, OH, and most recently in Okahumpka, FL.

Jack enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved to play golf and spend time outside working in the yard. Entertaining friends and bartending a fine cocktail were some of Jack’s specialties, but nothing compared to his famous Caesar salad.

Together, Jack and LaDonna had 2 children, Jacqueline Ramsey (married to Matthew Ramsey) and David Glover (married to Kimberly Glover). He was a grandfather to Avery and Amber Ramsey.

Jack will be honored at a Celebration of Life, to be determined at a later date.

Donations can be made in Jack’s honor to The Forward Paths Foundation. https://forwardpaths.org.
