She is survived by 5 children, Denise Heintz (Robert), Pam Hendrickson (Greg), Mark Gregory (Sandy), Mike Gregory (Debbie) and Chris Gregory (Cindy). She was a loving grandmother of 14 grandkids, Bob Heintz, Amanda Gregory, Samantha Belfoure, Jonathan Gregory, Angela Heintz, Caroline Bonanza, Luke Gregory, Nick Hendrickson, Adrienne Gregory, Stephanie Gregory, Hannah Gregory, Jordenne Gregory, Madison Gregory and Taylor Gregory. As well as 10 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Harry Witham along with two siblings, Jim Witham (Janie) and Bill Witham (Corrine), along with their extended families.

She will be remembered for her love of family and community. Close family traditions were very important to her. Everyone remembers the Sunday family dinners where she would gather all friends and family for a weekly feast. Her family will carry Barbara’s skills in the kitchen. She was famous for several dishes that everyone will carry forward (Baked Spaghetti, Tuna Fish Casserole, Grandma’s Roast Beef etc.). Her favorite time of year was when the whole family would gather for vacation in Madeira Beach, Florida.

Barbara was known for her unselfish nature and volunteer service. She made an impact on all the communities that she was involved in. Barbara had a very strong faith and was actively involved in her churches in Pittsburgh, Homosassa Springs, and Lakeview Terrace. Barbara was the keystone of the family as her and Johnnie moved 12 times, but Barbara was always the leader of the ship and the matriarch of the family

In keeping with her wishes there will not be a formal ceremony or memorial at this time. However, there will be a joint memorial in Pittsburgh for both Johnnie and Barbara after Johnnie’s passing.
