A 24-year-old Leesburg man was arrested after he reportedly tried to put a wooden spoon up another man’s butt during an argument over cigarettes.
The male victim told an officer on Tuesday morning that Brandon John Jarvis woke him up to argue about cigarettes. The relationship between the men was not disclosed in the arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
The victim said he and Jarvis argued for several minutes before Jarvis grabbed him by the neck and forcibly moved his head from side to side without restricting his breathing. Jarvis also made threats to kill the victim and himself. The victim then called law enforcement and removed himself from Jarvis after being told to do so by the communications center, the report said.
The victim further advised that overnight, Jarvis slapped him on the nose and tried to put a wooden spoon up his butt. The victim’s clothing prevented the spoon from penetrating, according to the report.
The officer then spoke to Jarvis, who said he woke up and asked the victim for a cigarette. Jarvis said he argued with the victim for several minutes because he was abusing his medications and using illegal narcotics. He said at no point did the argument become physical, and at no point did he touch the victim, the report said.
Jarvis was ultimately arrested and charged with domestic battery. He was transported to the Lake County Jail and released after posting $1,500 bond.
