John Wesley Long, 94, of Eustis, Florida, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
Born in Montrose, Georgia, he moved to Eustis in 1991 from Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, working as a Jet Engine Mechanic. John served his country in Korea. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Dora and a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Leesburg, FL.
John is predeceased by his Son, John Long Jr; Brother, Alton, Long; Sisters, Lillian Jackson and Jean Johnson. He is survived by his Wife of 70 years, Glenda Long of Eustis, FL; Daughter, Sharon Lynn Long and her husband of Ban Tantrakool of Tuscaloosa, AL; 3 Grandchildren, Erica (Christian) Schlank of Valdosta, GA, Ian S. Long of Eustis, FL, and Katelyn Long of Brooklyn, NY; 2 Great Grandchildren, Ethan and Conor Schlank.
