A Center Hill man wanted on a Lake County warrant for domestic battery turned himself in to the Lake County Jail on Tuesday.

Deltrice Andrea Graham II, 32, was wanted for an incident that occurred April 19 in Mascotte, according to an affidavit of probable cause out of Lake County.

On that day, the female victim said she was in the process of obtaining a rental car and was not home when she received a call from Graham. She had informed him that his belongings were in piles, and he needed to come by the residence when she was home. He persisted, and the victim advised she would be home by 2 or 2:30 p.m., the affidavit said.

When the victim arrived home, Graham was already there waiting for her to arrive, the affidavit said. The victim began placing his belongings outside of the residence one by one. As she got to the final items, Graham pushed his way into the home, grabbed the victim by the throat and pinned her to the couch while screaming profanities.

The victim told Graham to let her go and advised that there were functioning cameras throughout the house, the affidavit said. In response, Graham lifted her by the throat and shoved her into the master bedroom while screaming more profanities at her.

The victim and Graham continued to verbally argue, with the victim telling him multiple times to let her go and leave the residence. Graham had the victim pinned by her throat with his hand. He then began to choke her. The victim struggled to breathe and repeatedly asked Graham to let her go just before she lost consciousness, the affidavit said.

In the audio captured from a recording in the bedroom, Graham can be heard begging the victim to wake up after he rendered her unconscious. He also stated that he could not go to jail, the affidavit said.

The victim awoke to find that she had been doused with water and that she and the bedroom floor were soaked, the affidavit said. Graham was kneeling by her side as she regained consciousness. She begged him to leave the home, and he only complied when he realized the entire incident had been captured on audio and video.

After the incident, the victim sought treatment at the hospital, the affidavit said. Law enforcement observed she still had swelling and a red mark on her lip and a red mark on her throat consistent with being choked.

Based on the evidence on the victim’s body coupled with the audio and video of the incident, Graham was charged with domestic battery by strangulation. He was released from jail after posting $10,000 bond.
