Richard E. Percival

Richard E. Percival, age 97, of Eustis, Florida passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023. He was born May 30, 1925 in Dexter, Maine to the late Elton and Angie (Higgins) Percival.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1943-1946. He received the World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal with one star.

Richard retired after 37 years of service as the Director of Canteen Services for the United States Government. He enjoyed golf and woodworking. Richard was known for having his daily 5pm scotch which he referred to as his “attitude adjustment hour.”

Richard is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Dolores Percival; his parents, Elton and Angie Percival and his brother.

Survivors include his children, Roger (Penny) Percival, Rick (Nancy) Percival and Sharon (David) Caesar; three grandchildren, Todd, Jessica and Amanda and five great grandchildren, Keelie, Hudson, Brooks, Olivia and Macie.

A graveside service for Richard will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480.
