Delmus Levi Brown
February 24, 1926 – April 15, 2023
Delmus Brown born February 24th, 1926 in Crab Orchard Kentucky. Delmus’s early years were spent with his family of 12 brothers and sisters. He joined the Navy as a teenager during World War II. After serving in the military he settled in Middletown, Ohio, where he and his first wife Thelma Jean raised 3 sons. He is survived by his 3 sons Dale, Gary and wife Grace and Marsh. Delmus loved spending time with all of his 9 Grandchildern and his 15 Great Grandchildren. While working a full time job for 30 years at Genreal Motors Delmus always invested his money in side projects, like buying and selling tires, refrigerators and other appliances. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually guided him to purchase, restore then sell automobiles. He eventually bought properties to fix them up and use them as rental properties. Delmus Brown was a devout member of the Mormon church.
He donated his money and also his time to help those in the church and outside of church. He was also a Freemason where he embodied the highest moral character and integrity. The second part of his life was spent in the Mount Dora area with his second wife Ardella. Together they continued to buy and sell cars and properties. When they were not working on these projects they enjoyed going to garage and estate sales and dining out. Their favorite thing to do was entertain family, especially their grandchildren. Delmus also enjoyed playing croquet, golf and just about any card game you can think of. He was very competitive.
His life and generosity touched more people than even he knew, thats probably why he earned everyones love and respect. He was definitely a one of a kind person and will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in Peace.
