Dorothy May Gonzales, 90, Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2023 at Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages Hospice House in The Villages, Florida. Dorothy was born on October 22, 1932 in Owensboro, Kentucky to her parents Clifton Manaway and Mary (Wood) Manaway.
Dorothy and her beloved husband Robert moved to Central Florida in 1997 from Athens, Georgia. She was of the Protestant faith and was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ of Wildwood, Florida. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies as well as belonging to other local ladyies groups. She was an avid reader and loved to be with her husband Robert.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years: Robert Gonzales of Leesburg, Florida; a brother: Jerry Manaway and his wife Janice of Owensboro, KY; many loving nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date.
