Wanda Jean Williams, 65, of Tavares, Florida, passed away March 8th, 2023. She was alongside her loving family during the final moments before her untimely passing.
Wanda was born May 20, 1957, at Orange Memorial in Orlando, FL. She was preceded in death by her late father, Phillip Williams, JR and is survived by her mother Pearlie Mae Williams, her brother Algen Williams, and her son Phillip Ofuani.
Wanda grew up in Satellite Beach, FL and graduated at Satellite High school. Wanda would then further her education at Florida State University and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Library Science.
Wanda began her career as a Media Specialist at the University of Miami and continued at Miami-Dade Community college. While caring for her ill father, Wanda worked for the Florida Public School System for over 20 years retiring in 2019 at Cypress Ridge Elementary.
Wanda was always a wealthy resource of knowledge and was eager to share that wisdom with family and close friends. She never shied away from supporting those close to her and always commanded a strong presence whenever she was in attendance. Wanda always faced challenges and adversity with elegance and grace while simultaneously being swift and diligent. Wanda was not only a beacon of light for her mother and son, but also for those around her – uplifting and aiding the entire way. Her joyous smile and hearty laugh would be the light that would brighten up a room.
We will be remembering the good times together Friday, March 16, 2023, at the Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00p. Afterwards, the repast will be held at the Rogers Park Building. As always, all are welcome.
