Barbara Barth, 90, died at her home in Legacy of Leesburg on February 22, 2023.
She was born on October 14, 1932, to Ethel and Bernard Trumpbour and grew up in Queens, New York. She raised her family in Pearl River, New York, and was a constant force in her daughters’ lives, as scout leader, swim mom, classroom mother and all around cheerleader for their accomplishments. Once an empty-nester, she relocated to Spring Lake on the New Jersey Shore, later moving to the Outer Bank of North Carolina. There, she met Dan Barth, whom she married in 1994, the couple ultimately migrating ten years later to Leesburg, Florida. They enjoyed an active life of tennis, neighborhood socializing, and traveling cross country in their Airstream, seeing many national parks and visiting friends and family along the way.
While Dan predeceased her in November, she is survived by an extensive loving family: her four daughters, Carol Cipura (Ted) of Bumpass, VA, Cathy Burnweit (Eric Aserlind) of Coral Gables, FL, Nancy List of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Sally Frick (Bob) of Saugerties, NY; grandchildren Scott, Kim, Bradley, Alexandra, Bill, Mike, Kate, Dan and Louisa; 7 (and counting) great grandchildren; and stepchildren Dan, Janice, Becky, and Terry and their families.
