John William Wregglesworth

John William Wregglesworth born June 12th, 1929, passed peacefully at age 93 on January 8th, 2023.

He was born in Owosso, Michigan to parents John Henry and Nora (Tucker) Wregglesworth and had 2 Brothers; Duane & Ray and is survived by 2 Sisters; Shirley & Patty. He married Norene (Fuller) Wregglesworth the love of his life in October 1950 and were together for nearly 71 years until she passed in August 2021.

Norene & John had a wonderful life together having lived in Michigan, Barstow California when John was in the Marines, Indiana, South Carolina and then retired living in Titusville, Leesburg and Tavares, Florida. John’s skills as a maintenance & mechanical engineer working in large manufacturing plants were put to use in his retired years. His passions were gardening, woodworking, stained glass, baskets/craft making and many forms of painting especially in watercolors. He even attended many painting classes in Florida to perfect his amazing artistic skills. Norene and John even worked and traveled on Cruise Lines teaching so many forms of craft making to passengers.

John was an avid fisherman especially loving to surf fish on the beaches of Titusville area while Norene enjoyed sunbathing and reading books while he fished. John spent many years doing genealogy tracing family roots all the way back to the year 1066. They have 3 children, Sherri Sisung, Dana Wregglesworth, Scott Wregglesworth and 3 grandchildren John Wregglesworth Jr, Patrick Wregglesworth and Kelly Anne Sisung whom he loved dearly. He also has many nieces and nephews and was very close to nephew Mike Wregglesworth and his wife Ginger who visited John and Norene often especially in Florida.

Norene’s Sister Doris (Fuller) Tomala moved from Michigan to Leesburg FL after her husband Lou passed and lived in the same gated housing community where they spent many of their Golden years together. Youngest son Scott Wregglesworth and his spouse Dwayne Clutter of 40 years retired early and moved from California to be close to John and Norene for the past 16 years. Together they had many wonderful adventures and were able to support them through their later years of life.

After Norene passed at nearly 92, John moved into a wonderful Assisted Living Center very near Scott & Dwayne and spent so much quality time with his son Scott and was introduced to many of his friends like Yaroslav Melnikov who embraced John like family. John so enjoyed hearing stories from Slava about his life growing up in the Soviet Union/Russia. While John was in Brookdale Assisted Living, he made many friends including meal buddies and met a wonderful woman, Linda Manning. They formed a very close bond looking out for each other and caring for each other deeply. John requested no services and if family or friends want to honor him, please consider planting a tree or donating to any environmental wildlife, state park or other conservation effort.
