Clyde “Eddie” Brooks, 60 passed away on Tuesday, January 10th.

Clyde was a kind soul who loved to smile and laugh. He loved to listen to Casey Kasem’s Top 40. He loved to talk about sports, especially football, he loved the Dallas Cowboys. Born in South Carolina, he moved after high school to Tavares. He took care of his mother until she passed away. They attended Tavares Church of Christ.

Clyde has been homeless for many years, he spent most of his time in Tavares, but also in Eustis. Over the years, he knew many people in the area. He had folks who cared about him and tried to help him, including the postmen in Tavares who would stop and talk with him when they saw him. His smiling face and laugh will be missed by many.
