A Leesburg woman with a string of theft convictions spent Christmas in jail.
Melissa Marie Gordon, 42, was booked Friday at the Lake County Jail following her arrest on a warrant charging her with failure to appear on a felony charge of theft. She was being held without bond.
The New Jersey native has several theft arrests, including:
• She was taken into custody the theft of Florida Lottery tickets from a Kangaroo convenience store in Leesburg.
• She was jailed after stealing from a tip jar at a local business.
• She was arrested after taking groceries from a Winn-Dixie grocery store.
Gordon is due back in Lake County Court on Jan. 17.
