A woman was killed after her all-terrain vehicle crashed in a ditch full of water early Sunday morning in Lake County.
The 23-year-old Astatula woman was traveling in the Polaris Ranger side-by-side at about 4:30 a.m. when it overturned in a water-filled ditch and trapped her underneath it, according to an accident report from Florida Highway Patrol.
She was transported by ambulance to AdventHealth in Apopka where she was pronounced dead.
A 22-year-old Mount Dora man, a 48-year-old Tavares man, and a 25-year-old woman from Grand Island, were also traveling in the all-terrain vehicle in a wooded area near the Orlando North Airpark, off Duda Road near County Road 448A. The three suffered minor injuries. They were also taken to AdventHealth in Apopka.
