Donna E. Archambault

Donna E. Archambault peacefully passed away on November 3, 2022 at her home in Leesburg, FL. She joined her Savior and her late husband, First Lieutenant Jean A. Archambault. Donna was 80 years old.

She is survived by her sons, Alan and Michael; sister, Jacqueline Cheney; her aunt, Barbara Hickey; her beloved granddaughter, Nicole; and her great-grandson, Jamari.

Donna was born on April 8, 1942 at her grandparents home in Princeton, ME. Donna graduated from Dedham High School, Dedham, MA, in 1960. She graduated college from Westbrook Junior College in Portland, ME, in 1962, where she met her roommate and best friend, Gail Thompson. Donna completed her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University.

For 34 years, Donna loved and enjoyed the cottage home on Sheepscot Lake in Maine. She spent many long and beautiful summers with her husband, sons, relatives and friends. Donna loved knitting, feeding and watching the hummingbirds outside the kitchen window, gardening in both Maine and Florida, planting and growing vegetables and flowers.

Donna moved, with her husband, into the Plantation at Leesburg community in 1999. Donna and Jean joined a church and made new life long friends. She enjoyed going on tours and out to lunch with the ladies in the Red Hat Society, singing with the Friends-In-A-Chord and visiting with her sister, brother-in-law, Mac and cousin, Lew and Peg.

Donna was blessed to be a part of Corpus Christi Episcopal Church for many years. She enjoyed singing in the choir with her husband, leading the annual church sale and helping others during their time of need.

Donna will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jean, with a small brief service being held at Bushnell National Cemetery on December 2, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like for you to donate to a charity, as autism, ASPCA, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Children Hospital.
