Arthur Raymund Winker of Tavares, FL passed away on Monday, November 14th at the age of 92.

Born on March 15, 1930 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Arthur and Louise Winker. Arthur grew up in College Park, MD where he attended Greenbelt High School. He married Louise Steinle Winker in 1951 and entered the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Korean War. Following his service to his country, Arthur worked for the National Ordinance Lab in Silver Spring, MD, followed by a long career at the N.A.S.A. Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD until he retired in 1986.

Arthur was a devoted family man and a lifetime Lutheran serving several churches during his life–Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Greenbelt, MD for more than 40 years; Our Savior Lutheran Church, Rehoboth, DE for 10 years; The Woodlands Lutheran Church, Monteverde, DE for 7 years; and Faith Lutheran Church, Eustis, FL for 19 years.

Arthur is survived by four children, Wayne (Nanjemoy, MD); Wendy Beichler (St. James City, FL); Warren (Silver Spring, MD); and Wade (Leesburg, FL). Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5-7:00pm at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, FL. A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Eustis, FL on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2:00pm. The family will be receiving guests at both events. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “gifts and memorials fund” at Faith Lutheran Church and School in Eustis, FL.
