Thomas “Tom” Edward England, 78, of Fruitland Park, FL passed way on Saturday, October 22, 2022, surrounded by his wife and family as he went home to Heaven. He was born on October 2, 1944 in Greensboro, NC to his beloved parents John and Nancy (Thomas) England. Thomas moved to Florida in 1970 from New York. He was a retired business owner of Rainbow Draperies. While working in his draperies business in Leesburg, FL, he met Nancy. He and Nancy were married in 1989 at the Lady Lake Church of God and celebrated over 30 loving years together. Nancy’s fondest memory of her and Thomas’ marriage was in 1992, they traveled to Israel together and were baptized in the river of Jordan

Tom was a member of The Assembly of God Church of Lady Lake, FL. He enjoyed bowling and fishing, but he was an avid NASCAR Fan. He enjoyed collecting NASCAR items of his favorite driver Jeff Gordon No. 24, including many miniature die cast memorabilia cars. Tom never met a stranger and will be remembered fondly for being a social butterfly and quite the jokester.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy England; his children: Debra Knowd, Ocala, FL, Pamela (David) Froom, Ocala, FL, Cherie West, Melbourne, FL, Jeff (Laura) Stephens, Leesburg, FL, Benjamin (Tina) Stephens, Phoenix, AZ; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Donna Minier, Largo, FL, Leanne (Mike) Breault, Sebring, FL, a sister-in-law, Wanda (Ron) Hoilman, Jacksonville, FL and a brother-in-law, James (Linda) LaRue, and many nieces and nephews; as well as his long term friend over 40 years, Billy Morgan, Palm Coast, Fl.
