Irvin Washington of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. He was 73. He was born in Valdosta, Georgia, where he grew up and went to school. He moved to Maryland and graduated from Morgan State University in Baltimore. Irv worked as a Maryland State Trooper. He retired in September 2000. Irvin was a member of the African American Club at Spruce Creek Golf and Country Club and the African American Maryland State Troopers Association. He and his wife, Josephine lived in Summerfield, Florida for a short time before relocating to Mount Dora.

Irvin is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 55 years, Josephine; son, Rodney Washington (Tiffany Escarra) of Hollywood, Florida; daughters, Lakeasha Washington of Elliott City, Maryland and Titisha Hemlick (Matthew) of Severn, Maryland; grandchildren, Nicolette McClendon, Courtney Washington, Noah Washington, Joshua Washington, Corey Robinson, Jayden Sophia Washington, Marisol Guada, Darius Helmick, and Sydney Helmick; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Annette Hamlin, Brenda Code, James Green, Johnny Green, Teddy Green, Stella Williams, Windy & Jeffrey Jordan, and Mildred Green; and former daughter-in-law, Collette Washington.

Family and friends are invited to gather in the funeral home chapel for viewing. Day and times are pending. Please check back.
