Irene T. Andersen (nee Nebgen) 99 passed away September 8, 2022 in Leesburg, Florida.
Born in Chicago November 14, 1922 to Emil and Anna Nebgen she moved to Leesburg from Rolling Meadows, Illinois in 1994. She was preceded in death by husband Warren in 1996. She is survived by her sons Warren (Cal) Andersen and Craig Andersen (Frances).
Irene was an avid swimmer, dancer and road traveler. She and Warren enjoyed trailing their camper all over the U.S. (including Alaska). They always looked for places to swim and dance. During World War II she worked in supply management for the War Department and later as a teletypesetter for a Chicago area newspaper.
A celebration of life is not planned at this time.
