Dana J. Milligan, 77, residing in Leesburg, FL, passed away September 6, 2022. She was born on March 6, 1945 in Mansfield, Ohio to Vernon and Jean (Dunlap) Milligan and had been a longtime resident of Shelby, Ohio before moving to Florida. Dana was a 1962 graduate from Shelby High School. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Dana started her career with Shelby Mutual Insurance Company and was promoted to be the first female executive for the company. Spending time with her family was very important to her. She always kept them laughing. Dana enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. While in Florida, she enjoyed golfing, playing cards, shopping, and leading her friends on adventures.
She is survived by her loving sister Linda Armintrout who was by her side. Dana loved all of her nephews and nieces, Mike (Carrie) Murray, Todd (Tammy) Armintrout, Vicki (Craig) Hosack, Jeff (Amy) Murray, Amy (Shawn) Peterson and Dawn Murray. Her great nieces and nephews, Samantha (Matt) Murray, Justin (Nicole) Armintrout, Kayla Loback, Jessica Armintrout, Grayson (Lori) Murray, Austin Hosack, Devon Murray, Ben and Dan Murray, McKenzie and Garrett Peterson and her great-great nieces.
In addition to her parents Vernon and Jean Milligan, she is preceded in death by her sister Pe nny Murray, brother-in-laws Alex Murray and Larry Armintrout, nephew Alex Murray.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
