A 25-year-old Leesburg woman jailed in April for stealing and damaging a car owned by her boyfriend’s ex was arrested again over the weekend after she reportedly threw a liquor bottle at the woman and tried to hit her with her vehicle.
Adrianna Nathelma Williams, of 32331 Willow Brook Drive, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and violation of an injunction for protection after the incident, which happened around early Sunday outside a residence on North Lake Avenue.
The victim told a Leesburg police officer she and Williams had been arguing all day on Facebook. She said she and Williams share a love interest and there is a no-contact order between them. The victim said Williams told her during the Facebook argument she was coming to fight her, according to the police report.
The victim said at approximately 1:20 a.m., she was standing in her driveway when Williams drove by and threw a liquor bottle at her. Williams then turned her car around and started driving back towards the victim, who was standing in the street and holding the bottle that was thrown at her. The victim said Williams swerved toward her, trying to strike her with the vehicle, the report said.
The victim said she threw the liquor bottle at the windshield of Williams’s car while she was jumping out of the way. She said Williams made another U-turn and started driving towards her again. The victim said she backed further into the driveway and threw a rock at the vehicle, striking the rear driver’s side window, according to the report.
Williams was arrested and taken to the Lake County Jail, where she was released later Sunday on $7,000 bond. She is due in Lake County Court on Sept. 6.
