Joann Stone Cord

Joann Stone Cord, 80, of Tavares, FL, died Friday, August 5th, 2022. Born in Kennett, MO, Mrs. Cord was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Altoona, FL and had worked as a Restorative Aid.

She is survived by her daughter Latonya Stone May of Leesburg, FL. Granddaughters: Erica May of Leesburg, FL, Elizabeth Stone and Erika Oosterman of Grand Rapids, MI. Grandsons: Josh Cook of Clermont, FL, Don Bowen of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Hoover of Belleview, FL, Robert Carlton of West Point, VA, and Richard Bowen of Pontiac, IL. Sisters: Thelma Rogers, Brenda Mathis, Carolyn Sanders, and Barbara Hailey of Paragould, AR. Brothers: Terry Jaques and Bill Jaques of Paragould, AR. 18 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and a Great Grandpuppy Bo Duke.

Mrs. Cord is preceded in death by her parents Arnold and Pauline Jaques of Paragould, AR. Sons: Bobby Stone Jr., Robert Stone, and Richard Stone of Leesburg, FL. Daughters: Angela Stone of Dade City, FL and Patricia Hoover of Belleview, FL. Brothers: Paul Jaques and Eddie Jaques of Paragould, AR, and William Jaques of Little Rock, AR. Grandson Ryan Stone of Jacksonville, FL.

Services for Mrs. Cord are to be held Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, with visitation starting at 1pm and services immediately following at 2pm in the Beyers Funeral Home chapel in Leesburg, FL.
