Leesburg Police Department invites houses of worship to take part in active shooter trainer

The Leesburg Police Department is inviting houses of worship to take part in active shooter trainer.

The training will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Leesburg Police Department at 115 E. Magnolia St.

Instructors will include personnel from the police department as well as the Leesburg Fire Department.

Topics will include pro-actively addressing armed intruders as well as planning and preparing for individual and organizational safety.
