Wilmer Dalton “Bill” Bell, 87, of Leesburg, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022.

Born in Madison County, Florida, he moved to Leesburg in 1975 from Aberdeen, Maryland. He owned and operated Bell Insurance Services in Eustis. Bill served in the US Army during Korea and the US Marine Corps during Vietnam. Bill was a very active member of VFW Post 8087 in Eustis. He coordinated and was on the honor guard for many years. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League North Lake Detachment.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Bell of Leesburg, FL; son, Richard Irwin Bell of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Karen Denise Woodie of Umatilla, FL; 3 sisters, Christine Nichols of Lee, FL, Ann Sapp of Madison, FL, Patricia Plain of Lee, FL; 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VFW Post 8087, 4065 N. Highway 19A, Mount Dora, FL 32757.
