Carol H. McLachlan, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2022 with her children by her side. Carol was born and raised in Cleveland, OH and attended Grinnell College in Des Moines, Iowa from 1963 – 1967. She lived in South Florida from 1973 – 1983, before moving to Eustis, FL to raise her children. Carol was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a Grandma to Hayden, Madeline, Devan, Logan, Austin and Collins. She made friends everywhere that she went and could light up any room with her smile.

Carol was a kind and creative soul and enjoyed rubber stamping, scrapbooking, and especially quilting. She was a member of the Lake County Quilt Guild for many years, where she made many lifelong friends. Carol also loved to golf and bowl and has passed that love of those sports on through generations. She had a vast love of pets and animals of all kinds and would take in any animal that needed help or care and regularly donated to the SPCA. Carol was of Catholic Faith and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Mount Dora, FL.

Carol is the loving and devoted mother of son, Timothy Ian McLachlan of Eustis, FL and daughter, Kelly Marie Drew of Rockledge, FL and is also survived by Brother, James Todd Hooker of Mansfield, OH; Grandchildren, Hayden, Madeline, Devan, Logan, Austin and Collins; and numerous extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her Brother, William Lutz Hooker.

Please join us to celebrate her life. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis from 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM with Wake Service at 3:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Mount Dora, FL on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at the St. Patrick Catholic Church Cremation Garden.
