Letha Rebecca Jackson McKenzie passed away May 4, 2022. She was born to the late Berry “BJ” Jackson and the late Corine Kizer Jackson on January 14, 1949, in Leesburg, Florida.

She was a graduate of Carver Heights High School. She worked for the Department of Children and Families for thirty years as an eligibility specialist until she retired in 2009. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She grew up in Mt. Olive Progressive Baptist Church under the leadership of late Reverend L.E. McGhee. In 2003, she moved her membership to Macedonia Church of the Living God under the leadership of late Pastor Juanita Smalley.

She is survived by: one son, Charlie McKenzie, Jr.; two daughters, Delores McKenzie and Estella Gilchrist (Kenny); one goddaughter, Ebony; one sister, Lauretta Pinkard; one sister-in-law, Rosetta McKenzie; nine grandchildren; as well as numerous greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
