Daniel Michael Hardaway, 31, passed away on December 19, 2021 in Tavares, FL.

Daniel (Danny to some) was born on September 25, 1990, confident and tenderhearted with a larger than life personality and a great love for football. That love for football began with the Miami Dolphins and grew throughout his time playing for the Leesburg High School Yellow Jackets and the Monmouth College Scots. Football was more than just a sport, a team, or a game for him — it was a brotherhood. He loved his teammates as his brothers. Daniel’s pride was in his work. He always strived to reach the top and had a successful career as a financial consultant.

His bold personality entertained and touched the lives of many. His prowess in the kitchen and love for cooking for friends ensured waistlines grew. Daniel loved those in his life fiercely. A huge hole is left in the hearts of his family, many a friend, and former teammates.

Daniel is survived by his significant other, Nicole Todd, and his parents, Bill Hardaway (Denise Robbins) and Debora Bronson (Steve). He is also survived by brother Will Hardaway, sisters Courtney Welch (Jeremy) and Emma Hardaway, nephews Jett and Jude Welch, and nieces Cassidy and Chesley Welch. Daniel leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Hardaway and Uridel families, as well as many friends, including his best friend, Jake Patterson.

A funeral will be held at Good News Church 400 Executive Blvd, Leesburg, FL at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 8, 2021. Celebration of Life to follow at Leesburg Boat Club 31 Dozier Circle, Leesburg, FL.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to Wildwood Wildcats Pop Warner 426 Hall Street, Wildwood, FL 34785.
