A Leesburg man was arrested after police responded to a report of shots fired in a residential neighborhood.
Officers were called Sunday evening to the 1700 block of Birchwood Circle to investigate a report of a shooting, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
A black Ford Taurus was pulled over at the corner of Pamela Street and Williams Street and the driver was identified as 50-year-old Theodore Roosevelt Edwards of 2124 Alabama Ave. He admitted he had been in an argument with his girlfriend, but indicated he did not have any weapons
A check revealed Edwards has been classified as a habitual traffic offender with multiple revocations of his license dating back to 1993.
He was arrested on a felony charge of driving while license suspended. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $2,000 bond.
