A Leesburg woman was arrested after allegedly biting her boyfriend during an altercation.
Leesburg police officers were dispatched to a home on Griffin Road where they met with a man who said that 49-year-old Lashann Meshall Smith bit him on his cheek. He also said she strangled him so hard that he could not breathe, causing him to pass out. He regained consciousness as she was hitting him in his face, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
An officer noted in the report that the man had bite marks on his face, abrasions on his face and redness around his throat.
The police were unable to locate Smith at her apartment in the 300 block of Sandy Oak Circle in Leesburg, but were able to meet with a witness who gave the officers a video showing the attack.
Officers tracked down Smith Tuesday afternoon and arrested her on a charge of domestic battery by strangulation. She was booked at the Lake County Jail on $30,400 bond.
