A Leesburg woman who previously lost her license due to a drunk driving conviction was arrested when she was caught back behind the wheel.
Jennifer Marie Carillio, 41, was driving a silver SUV late Wednesday night when a Lake County sheriff’s deputy found the vehicle’s license plate had been assigned to a 1984 Nissan pickup truck.
During a traffic stop, Carillio told the deputy that she did not have her wallet, but her license should be valid. After getting her name and date of birth, the deputy performed a records check which showed Carillio had one previous conviction for driving under the influence and three convictions for driving while license suspended.
The deputy placed her under arrest. As Carillio was exiting the vehicle, the deputy found a cigarette box which had been in her lap. The box contained a baggie with a white crystalline substance which field test as being methamphetamine.
Carillio was booked at the Lake County Jail on $13,000 bond.
