Clayton Wesley Miller

clyClayton Wesley Miller, 80, of Leesburg, FL, and formerly of Williamsport, MD, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at UF Health Leesburg Hospital in Leesburg, FL.

Born April 1, 1941, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Hunter Wesley Miller and Martha Jane (Neikirk) Miller.
Clay was a graduate of The Class of 1959 at South Hagerstown High School and an active member of the South Hagerstown High Rebel Band. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church in Falling Waters, WV.
Clay retired from The Railroad and was the previous owner and operator of Rosemary’s Florist in Williamsport, MD.
After retirement he divided his time between Smith Mountain Lake VA in the summer and wintering in Florida, before moving there fulltime. While there he volunteered for the Leesburg Salvation Army and The Orange Blossom Opry in Weirsdale, FL
Clay enjoyed boating, water skiing and fishing. He was also an avid Nascar/ Jeff Gordan Fan holding season tickets to numerous races. He later took up golfing and was able to score his age.
He was a member of the Redman Tribe 84 of Williamsport, the Moose Lodge #874 in Leesburg, FL.
Clay is survived by two daughters, Amy Schrock (Michael) of Williamsport, MD and Angela Miller of Hagerstown, MD; Son Monty Bussard ( Debbie) of Myersville, MD; a brother David Miller (Dorian) of Washington, NC ; 6 grandchildren, Hunter Schrock, Zachary Schrock, Devin Hewitt, Dereck Hewitt, Krista Peake (Jon) of Aurora, CO, Katie Silva (Rafael) of Las Vegas, NV; and a great grandson Mason Hewitt; also survived by a special companion Pat Anderson and her four legged friend Shelby.
