A Leesburg man was arrested after allegedly blinding a woman with Noxzema and sexually battering her.

The woman went to the Leesburg Police Department this past Tuesday and reported that 41-year-old Jerome Cratic had forced himself on her earlier that day.

Cratic had come to the woman’s apartment where she was caring for her grandchildren and had made sexual advances which she rejected. He smeared her face with Noxzema, which burned and temporarily blinded her. He forcibly penetrated her twice, the arrest report said.

He held her in the apartment against her will and hid her cell phone. He returned it to her when he left for work.

Cratic is on felony probation for aggravated battery in Georgia. He was booked at the Lake County Jail on a felony charge of domestic battery, two counts of sexually battery, unlawful restraint and depriving use of a cell phone. Bond was set at $22,000.
