Grant S. Belton of Leesburg, FL passed away on September 21st. He was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1932 to Earle and Magdalene Belton.
After serving in the Air Force, Grant met and married his wife of 64 years, Audrey Pedersen. Grant soon joined the NYPD, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. The family resided in Commack, Long Island for many years and stayed there after his retirement from the NYPD in 1985.
Years later, they moved to Leesburg, Florida, where Grant was very active in his community and enjoyed participating in many of the activities offered. He enjoyed playing golf, bocce, and pinochle with family and friends. Grant also enjoyed social dancing and, for many years, served as the community DJ. As part of the travel club, he enjoyed both road trips around Florida and tropical cruises. Grant was also an avid reader and long-time fan of both computer gaming and watching Jeopardy!.
In addition to his wife, Audrey Belton, Grant is survived by son Grant C. Belton of Leesburg, daughter Kristine Cirillo and son-in-law Justin Cirillo of Maitland, FL, as well as beloved family and friends.
