A Leesburg teen was booked this past week on arrest warrants from the Florida Department of Corrections and the Leesburg Police Department.

Antonio Young, 19, fled from Leesburg patrol officers on July 22, and July 26. The Leesburg officer investigating a shooting at Laurel Oaks Apartments in Leesburg recognized the car that had eluded him at the apartment complex. A records check revealed that the car had been in an accident on Aug. 7 where the driver, identified as Young, was captured after a foot chase. The Leesburg officer then obtained an arrest warrant for fleeing to elude and Young’s probation officer obtained a warrant alleging probation violations.

Young surrendered Wednesday at the Lake County Jail. He was being held without bond due to the probation violation.
