A woman has been jailed on $10,000 bond after skipping a court date resulting from a stolen bottle of water.

Shannon Louise Martin, 40, of Leesburg was booked Tuesday at the Lake County Jail following her arrest by Lake County sheriff’s deputies on a warrant charging her with failure to appear.

She had originally been arrested June 4 after she allegedly took a bottle of water from the Exxon gas station in Eustis. When an officer attempted to detain her, she pulled away and refused to identify herself. She was arrested on charges of theft and resisting arrest. She had been scheduled to appear in court last month and when she failed to appear, a warrant was issued July 22.
